RESOLUTION NO. 2018-50 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLU'I'ION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF MILLER CABLE <br />COMPANY FOR THE SOM CENTER ROAD AND HICKORY HILL DRIVE TRAFFIC <br />SIGIVAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $247,500.00 <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to install a new traffic signal at <br />SOM Center Road and Hickory Hill Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned project were received, opened and tabulated <br />as per published notice on December 14, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Miller Cable Company was the lowest and best bid received; and <br />WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $247,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the bids and recommended that the <br />Village Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of <br />Miller Cable Company in the amount of $247,500.00 and the construction contract is hereby <br />awarded to Miller Cable Company for the SOM Center Road and Hickory Hill Drive Traffic Signal <br />Improvement Project. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with Miller Cable Company for the SOM Center Road <br />and Hickory Hill Drive Traffic Signal Improvement Project. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
