RESOLUTION NO. 2018-50 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLU'I'ION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF MILLER CABLE COMPANY FOR THE SOM CENTER ROAD AND HICKORY HILL DRIVE TRAFFIC SIGIVAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $247,500.00 WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to install a new traffic signal at SOM Center Road and Hickory Hill Drive; and WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned project were received, opened and tabulated as per published notice on December 14, 2018; and WHEREAS, the bid of Miller Cable Company was the lowest and best bid received; and WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $247,500.00; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the bids and recommended that the Village Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of Miller Cable Company in the amount of $247,500.00 and the construction contract is hereby awarded to Miller Cable Company for the SOM Center Road and Hickory Hill Drive Traffic Signal Improvement Project. SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with Miller Cable Company for the SOM Center Road and Hickory Hill Drive Traffic Signal Improvement Project. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
