Architectural Review Board - Architectural Review Board will be meeting on tlie 26t1i <br />for one resident. . Board of Appeals - Board of Appeals met back in Juiie and granted a setback variance <br />for an addition on Thornapple. <br />.. Planning and Zoning - Plaruiing and Zoning will have a workshop on the 19t''. <br />Members will. be hearing from two users that would like to put salon services in at an <br />office building ori the corner of Beta and Wilson Mills. . <br />Council President Saponaro asked, any questions on this? <br />There were none. <br />Ronald Wynne (Finance) - I will reserve my comments for items when they come up on the <br />agenda. <br />Chief Eugene Carcioppolo (Fire) - I just wanted to,update you on where we are at for the year. <br />We are about 40 calls ahead of where we were last year at this date. We are at 724 incident <br />responses. for the year. I also wanted to bring up Ordinance 201744 which was the AED <br />legislatiori that we passed last year and give you all kind of a little bit of a shout out to show how <br />mueh of an impact it could have; something small here in Mayfield Village that we enacted <br />'because of the safety concerns and identified as a good,measure to take on a local' level. Frogressive has adopted that policy' now- at all of their locations worldwide. Tfiey. are implementing that arid installing AED's _ in all of the locations acquired here because after <br />understandirig the merits of it knowing that they are there, they decided that was in the best <br />interests of the safety of the patroils of their business. Also, the Courity Library will be installing <br />AED's .in all" of the Cuyahoga County libraries all because of the ordinance passed here. Parks and Recreation Board - The focus so far for the sLUnmer has been the summer . <br />season of entertainmeiit wlzere we kicked off w'ith our Fourth: of July event which was <br />very successful. The:last.two weeks in a row on Fridays we have had nearly 1,000 people <br />at The Grove. It has been challenging but epic work together. They have done. a good <br />job. _ Special.tllanks to tlze Pol.ice Department. They_have handled additionaltraffic <br />wonderfully. . This week we have another group coming in oii Friday with probably good <br />atteildance. For people who do not use Facebook, you can also check us out on Google. <br />Type 'in the Grove Amphitheater, Mayfield. It will list all of the up aild coining eveiits <br />and have pictures of The Grove and all of the activities coming up: Parkview Pool also <br />11as t11at option. A lot of people ufilize that. Iii the montll of May, we received 12,036 <br />inquiries for the Grove alone. <br />.
