Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, February 19, 2018
Page 27

Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, inade a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2018-13.
Council President Saponaro asked, discussion?
There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
Council President Saponaro stated, the last two pieces of legislation that we discussed and passed
are a temporary and then a permanent easement to aid in the installation of the stormwater
project which is what is required for the NEORSD in order for them to now commence doing the
work. The next stage of that project is to go iri front of Planning Commission on March 5h to
talk about riparian setbacks. I am not sure what the next steps after that are, but just so that
everyone is clear on it.
`-OTHER'1VIATTERS :
Council President Saponaro asked, are there any other matters that may come before Council at
this point? My closing comments are this - I know that at our January meeting we talked about
the time of the Council meetings. I had asked and put out to everyone that I would like to
continue discussion which will lead to a vote to move Council meetings starting in 2019 to the
7:00 timeframe. I would like to have that ready for discussion at Caucus in March. I would like
to move that to a vote at the next Council meeting.
You also should have received your Robert's Rules of Order. You are welcome to keep them.
Take them with you and if there's anyone that needs this that does not have them, please let Mrs.
Betsa know and she will get you a copy of them or you are welcome to keep them at your place
here and they will be maintained and then returned to you every time we have a Council meeting.
FYI on that. Anyone else?
Mayor Bodnar stated, thanlc you. I would just like to end briefly by acknowledging all of you
who have come here tonight to participate in the meeting. I am probably misquoting Margaret
Mead, one of my favorite sayings is that: "Never doubt that a small gYOUp of conceYned citizens
can change the m,orld. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. " So, I thank all of you for
coming tonight and participating. Whether we agree or disagree, we put it all on the table and
we talked about it. I hope that you will continue, even if it is not a particular issue that you are
involved in, but I hope that you will continue your presence in coming to Council meetings.
Thank you.
