State of Ohio -
Natureworks Grant Progratn.".'(Introduced by Mayor and Council as a Whole).- (Law
Department) _
Mrs. Mills asked; does. this need to be suspended?
Mr. 1VIcAvinew replied, yes. The application is due June lst. It could go to two
read'ings, but it could not go to three, readings. If Council wants to push it. to an extra
reading, that's possible, but the resolution and gzant application is due June lst of this
year. The resolution bas'ically says the Village is not making any contract or
agreement, itis just in support of subinitting the grant.
Dr. Parker. asked, is there any reason why not to suspend this one and just advance with
it?. -
Mr. McAvinew replied, myself, I see no reason. It's just a resolution of support for the
grant application being submitted. It does not commit the Village either financially or
to go with the project. We won't find out until later this year. At that point we have an
option to accept it based upon the money received or. still decline it if t11ey don't fund
enough for the grant applicant. -
Dr. Parker; seconded by lvIrs.
