Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council. Monday, April 16, 2018 Page 5 Gene March 545 Zorn Lane I have lived in the Village since 1983, about 35 years. This is the first time I am here to complain about anything. This Village is small enough and in the past has been friendly enough to communicate changes .that are going on in neighborhoods. We used to have meetings before things were changed like the sewer business we had. We lost some trees along the way and we are still paying for the sewers that most of us really didn't want. We were happy with the septic systems. . Iagree ,with everything that Dino DiFranco haci to. say: I think the lights that were put iri, they were put on a pole in my yard. They are of a character .that belongs on a city main thoroughfare, not iri a small residential. street. If you look at the lights that are on adjoinirig streets on Zom Circle and on Wildwood, the lights that are on the other streets have underground wiring and they are cuter, they are of a certain similar architecture. The one that got sprung up on my property is just a main thoroughfare light:. It doesn't belong there. It ought to be different. This light was thrust upon us if you will without any notice to the residents. It just hits me with a foreboding that there could be more things thrust upon us under the current administration. We have a Master Plan that has been started: My opinion is that Mayfield Village after the last income tax increase, we are overtaxed and we are flush with money. We haVe more money coming in than recent budgets have spent which leads_ to a situation where money can be squandered where do=gooders and central planners look for something good to do for somebody else that they may not want. . Sitting in the back here; my neighbar informed me that there is a picture of my house on the Mayfield website with a mark on the front of it that says "threat": How in the world is 545 Zorn Lane a threat? Can anybody tell me how I am a threat or my house is a threat? Mayfield government, is there anyone here that knows? Well, Mayfield government if you don't know now, you have a problem. That's it. Thank you. Council President Pro Tem Williams stated, thank you. We will look into your concern. on the website. I was on the website today, but I did not notice it. Mr. DiFranco stated, it's in the Masfer Plan. We share a border, our two properties. In a big ` circle, it.says "threat" and we haven't been able to find out what that means. You can understand the angst. You see the Master Plan and it says that our area is a threat and we are being told that there is a safety concern when we have lived there over 30 years and never had a problem. So, I hope you understand that not being informed is the worst part of it. Ifwe were informed, all the residents came together, we would come up with a great solutioii that everybody agrees to. I proposed this at last month's meeting and it was turned down and so you can see the residents have responded. They have come out in support. Please support what we can all agree to and let's get this behind us.
