1Vlinutes of the Regulai⢠Meeting of Council <br />Monday, May 21, 2018 <br />Page 13 <br />. First Reading of Resolution No. 2018-22 -"An emergericy resolution authorizing <br />Mayfield Village to accept the bid of R.J. Platten Construction Co. for the construction of <br />the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead and Fire Station Parking Lot." (Introduced by <br />Mayor Bodnar). (Law Department) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a.motion to suspend tlie rules of Council. <br />requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Council President Pro Tem Williams asked; discussion? <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2018-22. <br />Council President Pro Tem Williams asked, discussion? <br />Ms. Wolgamuth stated, I just want to remind Council that the bid amount for R.J. Platten <br />Construction Company was $372,077. $86,000 of tYiat is for improvements to the Fire Station <br />parking lot. <br />Council President Pro Tem Williams asked, did everyone hear that okay? There was a little <br />technical difficulty.. . . . <br />Ms. Wolgamuth'.stated, I will repeat. The bid from R.J..Platten Construction Company was <br />$372,077 and that amount iricludes $86,891 that- are for improvements to the Fire Station parking <br />lot. The rest is for the Memorial. The next two items are the special items we also ordered, the , <br />granite spires and the inetal:bike rack and the metal armature to hold the.piece of the World <br />Trade Center. Those are separate Resolutions, but they are all part of tfiis project. <br />Mr. Wynne stated, I would like to add that the . sum of all three of those items is approximately <br />$390,000 and the budget was $330,000 so' passing these items will necessifate a$60,000 <br />adjustment to the budget to cover, tlle cost. <br />Couricil President Pro Tem Williams' asked; any other discussion? <br />There was none. - ' <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried . <br />NAYS: None Resolutioii Adopted <br />.
