ORDINANCE NO. 2020-20 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND EXPENDITURES FOR FUND 209 (CARES ACT CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUND) OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO FOR THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 1, 2020 AND ENDING DECEMBER 30, 2020 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO THAT: SECTION l: To provide for expenses for Fund 209 of Mayfield Village, Ohio for the period beginning March 1, 2020 and ending December 30, 2020, the sum hereinafter set forth is appropriated as follows: 209 CARES ACT CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUND: That there be appropriated from the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund : $41,564.59 the sum of SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw warrants for payment for this appropriation upon receiving the proper certificates and vouchers therefore, approval by the Council of Mayfield Village or officers authorized by law to approve the same, or by Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make expenditures, provided that no warrant be drawn or paid for. salaries or wages except to persons employed by authority of and in accordance with law or ordinances. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that the appropriation authorized herein is necessary as it provides for necessary funding for
