ORDINANCE No. 2020 -24 <br />Page 2 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />1157.10 Patios; Permit; Fee <br />(a) In Front Yards and Side Yards. In front yards in Class U-1, U-2, U-3 and U-3 AA Use Districts, <br />the only patios permitted shall be concrete or paving brick, which shall be as close to the front wall <br />of the main building as practicable but no more than 5 feet from the building wall; not larger than <br />12 feet by 12 feet; and shall not exceed 8 inches in height above the natural grade. <br />(b) Rear Yards. The requirements contained on this section 115 7. 10 shall only apply to front yard <br />patios. <br />(c) Placement. The patio shall not be in the required side yard setback and shall be at least ten feet <br />from the property line. The patio shall be physically separated from driveways and turnarounds <br />with landscaping or other approved physical barrier such as: (i) landscape island five feet or wider; <br />(ii) decorative railings or fencing not to exceed 42 inches in height; or (iii) masonry walls not to <br />exceed 42 inches in height. <br />(d) Permits. Application for a patio permit must be accompanied by a plot plan showing location <br />of the patio with accessories, if any. <br />(e) Fees. A fee for the construction of any patio within the Municipality shall be required as stated <br />in Section 1309.05 of the Codified Ordinances. <br />
