(Clw or vftp) We the undersigned, qualified electors of the Village of Mayfield Ohio respectfully (Cnr or ~) Petition the legislative authority to forthwith provide by Ordinance, for the submission to the electors of Said city or village, the proposed amendment to the Charter of sold city or village to -wit: We, the undersigned, electors of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio respectfully submit the following proposed Amendment to the Charter of the Village to wit: Add the last sentence of Article IV, section i which read as follows and take effect December 1st, 2021: SECTION 1. TERM. The Mayor shall be elected for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January next following such election, and shall serve until the Mayor's successor is duly elected and on qualified. No persshall hold this office for more than two (2) consecutive terms beglunhrg from their Brat elected term. Therefore, Article IV, section 1 should be amended to read as follows and take effect December 1st, 2021: Article IV, Mayor SECTION 1. TERM. The Mayor shall be elected for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January next following such election, and shall serve until the Mayor's successor is duly elected and qualified.
