Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, April 15, 2019 <br />Page 10 <br />• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2019-08, entitled, "An Ordinance repealing Codified <br />Ordinance Section 331.44 electronic wireless communication device while driving <br />prohibited." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar. (First Reading — February 25, 2019; Second <br />Reading — March 18, 2019) (Law Department) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2019-08. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? <br />Mr. Coyne stated, this legislation makes it a primary offense for texting or using electronic <br />wireless communication devices while driving. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, any questions? <br />There were none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2019-09, entitled, "An Ordinance repealing and <br />replacing Codified Ordinance Chapter 1185 relating to signs regulations." Introduced by <br />Mayor Bodnar. (First Reading — February 25, 2019; Second Reading — March 18, 2019) <br />(Law Department) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2019-09. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? <br />Mr. Coyne stated, if there are any questions, I would be happy to answer them. Section <br />1185.08(f)(4) was amended to read such signs shall be located as close to the center of the <br />property as measured by the front footage, but in no event less than 10 feet from the property <br />line. <br />Mr. Marrelli stated, we talked about how to measure that on the streets. Section (f)(1) was <br />revised to stated that such signs shall be located not less than 10 feet from the roadway surface. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />• Motion to take Resolution No. 2019-24 from the table. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to take Resolution No. 2019-24 from the <br />table. <br />
