Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, March 16, 2020
Page 6
Chief Paul Matias (Police) — The Mayor pretty much covered everything in her report. We are
working together to be prepared for what's happening. My primary focus is my officers and
dispatchers, trying to keep everybody healthy for as long as we can to make sure we can do all of
our important stuff that we do. We are as prepared as we can be. Like Chief Carcioppolo said,
we are in constant meetings, constant updates, things are changing daily. We are as ready as we
can be. Our call volume has gone down quite a bit. We don't have residents and business
people calling in a panic. Everybody seems to be cool about everything right now. We are as
ready as we can be. If anybody has any questions, I am in every day. Just give me a call.
Committee Reports:
Citizen's Advisory Committee - Mrs. Mills — At our last meeting, Shane McAvinew gave us an
overview of the recreational park that is going in at the pool and also about the Grove. We had
some discussions about the zoning changes that are on the ballot. It was a very good meeting.
We look forward to our next meeting whenever it happens.
Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2020-03. entitled, "An Ordinance appropriating funds
for current expenses and expenditures for Mayfield Village, Ohio for the period from
January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020 and declaring an emergency." Introduced
by Mayor Bodnar. (Finance Department) (First Reading — 1/21/20; Second Reading
2/18/20)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2020-03
Council President Schutt asked, discussion?
Mr. Wynne stated, at the last meeting I reviewed with Council several changes that were made to
the capital budget from the copies you received. There have been no additional changes since
that time.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted
Third Reading of Resolution No. 2020-12. entitled, "A resolution requesting the
Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer to adjust the amended official certificate of estimated
resources for 2020." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar. (Finance Department). (First Reading
—1/21/20; Second Reading — 2/18/20)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2020-12.
Council President Schutt asked, discussion?
