MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Monday, August 31, 2020 — 6:00 p.m. <br />Videoconferenced in Main Conference Room -Mayfield Village Civic Center <br />6622 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio <br />Council President Schutt stated, this Special Meeting of Council was duly noticed and is being held <br />in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22 specific to recent amendments made in light <br />of the current COVID-19 declared emergency (House Bill 197). Under the orders of Governor <br />DeWine and the Director of Health of Ohio, and pursuant to Ordinance 2020-08, adopted March <br />16, 2020, Council is meeting remotely, via electronic means. Mayfield Village is conducting these <br />proceedings in compliance with all applicable State Laws and regulations. <br />This Special Meeting can be accessed by going to: https://youtu.be/g7a4nlvT7GY <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mrs. Jurcisek, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Meyers, <br />Mrs. Mills, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Schutt and Mr. Williams <br />Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, Mr. Coyne and Mr. Wynne <br />Council President Schutt stated, please remain seated as I recite the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council President Schutt recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Open Portion <br />Council President Schutt stated, the public was encouraged to view this meeting agenda and <br />offer any comments or questions limited only to agenda items prior to this meeting to be read <br />into the record and addressed at the meeting. Comments and questions were accepted until 5:00 <br />p.m. this evening by sending an e-mail to our Council Clerk, Mary Betsa. Mrs. Betsa, have you <br />received any comments? <br />Mrs. Betsa replied, no, I have not Council President. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2020-22, entitled, "An emergency ordinance repealing <br />Ordinance 2020-12 amending the compensation of the Mayor, President of Council and Members <br />of Council and directing the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to remove the issue from the <br />November 3, 2020 General Election Ballot." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a <br />Whole. (Administration) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2020-22. <br />
