RESOLUTION NO. 2020-55 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO APPROPRIATE AND ENCUMBER $40,000.00 TO THE CITY OF LYNDHURST FOR THE LYNDHURST MUNICIPAL COURT PROJECTED OPERATING DEFICIT FROM JULY 1, 2020 TO DECEMBER 31, 2020 WHEREAS, Mayfield Village utilizes Lyndhurst Municipal Court pursuant to R.C. Chapter 1901; and WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 1901.026, Mayfield Village is responsible for its proportionate share of the current operating costs of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village's estimated proportionate share of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court projected operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 is $40,000.00; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, upon the recommendation of the Finance Director, deems it necessary and in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Mayfield Village residents to authorize an appropriation and encumbrance to the City of Lyndhurst in the amount of $40,000.00 for Mayfield Village's proportionate share of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court projected operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby authorizes an appropriation and encumbrance in the amount of $40,000.00 to the City of Lyndhurst for Mayfield Village's proportionate share of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including Irw requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
