RESOLUTION NO. 2020-55 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO <br />APPROPRIATE AND ENCUMBER $40,000.00 <br />TO THE CITY OF LYNDHURST FOR THE <br />LYNDHURST MUNICIPAL COURT PROJECTED OPERATING DEFICIT <br />FROM JULY 1, 2020 TO DECEMBER 31, 2020 <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village utilizes Lyndhurst Municipal Court pursuant to R.C. <br />Chapter 1901; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 1901.026, Mayfield Village is responsible for its <br />proportionate share of the current operating costs of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village's estimated proportionate share of the Lyndhurst <br />Municipal Court projected operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 is <br />$40,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, upon the recommendation of the Finance Director, deems <br />it necessary and in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Mayfield Village <br />residents to authorize an appropriation and encumbrance to the City of Lyndhurst in the amount <br />of $40,000.00 for Mayfield Village's proportionate share of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court <br />projected operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby authorizes an appropriation and <br />encumbrance in the amount of $40,000.00 to the City of Lyndhurst for Mayfield Village's <br />proportionate share of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court operating deficit from July 1, 2020 to <br />December 31, 2020. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />Irw requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
