RESOLUTION NO. 2021-52 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />PROVIDING FOR THE REAPPOINTMENT OF <br />A&S ANIMAL CONTROL, INC. <br />AS THE ANIMAL WARDEN FOR MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL PRESIDENT <br />TO ENTER INTO AN ANIMAL WARDEN SERVICES AGREEEMENT <br />WITH A&S ANIMAL CONTROL, INC. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor's reappointment of A&S Animal Control as Animal Warden for <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio is hereby confirmed subject to the terms, conditions and compensation <br />hereinafter established. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village authorizes the Mayor and Council President <br />to execute the Animal Warden Services Agreement in the form attached hereto as "Exhibit A" <br />providing that for a period of one (1) year, from January 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022, A&S <br />Animal Control shall be compensated pursuant to the terms contained therein for performing the <br />duties of the Village's Animal Warden. <br />SECTION 3. Pursuant to the Animal Warden Services Agreement, the Animal Warden <br />shall be paid a retainer of Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00) per month to respond to regular and <br />emergency service calls from the Village. All additional services shall be invoiced monthly. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the enactment of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the reason that the services of an Animal Warden are needed for the immediate <br />preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) <br />
