RESOLUTION NO. 2021-47 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO <br />THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION PROGRAM <br />PARTNER AGREEMENT WITH NOACA <br />WHEREAS, NOACA has been allocated federal funds and is contributing a local portion <br />of funds for a project involving the planning, distribution and installation of DCFC and/or Level <br />2 Dual Port Electric Vehicle Charging Stations at multiple locations throughout Cuyahoga, <br />Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties (the '`Project"), which has received Federal Highway <br />Administration approval and authorization; <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Civic Center has been chosen as a location for the <br />installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations; <br />WHEREAS, the Village desires to enter into agreement with NOACA in order to set forth <br />requirements associated with the Federal funds available for the Project and to establish the <br />responsibilities for NOACA and the Village in administration, construction, operation and <br />maintenance of the Project; <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and <br />welfare of all Village residents to enter into the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program Partner <br />Agreement with NOACA. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Council of the Village of Mayfield authorizes and directs the Mayor <br />and President of Council to enter into the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program Partner <br />Agreement with NOACA as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br />SECTION 2. That the Village of Mayfield does hereby agree to obligate the funds <br />required under the terms of the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program Partner Agreement. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />11 <br />
