I J RESOLUTION NO. 2021-34 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A NEW LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CHRISTA OLIVO FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTINUING TO LEASE THE REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 6536 WILSON MILLS ROAD, MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO 44143. WHEREAS, the Village is the owner of residential real estate located at 6536 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio 44143; and WHEREAS, on November 1, 2010 and November 1, 2017, Mayfield Village entered into Lease Agreements with Christa Olivo for the residential use of this property, serving as a public necessity and convenience; and WHEREAS, on August 31, 2021, Christa Olivo was advised that the monthly rental amount will be increased by approximately 12% to $675 effective November 1, 2021; and WHEREAS, a new Lease Agreement has been prepared reflecting the monthly rental increase and will be maintained by the Director of Finance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are authorized and directed to enter into such new Lease Agreement between Christa Olivo and the Village of Mayfield pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the Lease which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
