Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
December 19, 2022
Page 8
was very open with Sean and Danielle about the fact that I will help them when they are ready. I
knew Sean was planning on making this move for a while now and I supported him because it is
growth. I like to see that. Sean will do a wonderful job. He will be missed. Like I said, don't be
a stranger. I am here and the Village is here for a lifetime of support. Just reach out. You have
a lot of great Department Heads, Mayor, Council that still will support you down the road. I am
proud of Sean. It's a transition point. He will do great things. I am looking forward to seeing
those great things.
Onward, I would like to also, if you have not yet voted for the Holiday Decorating Contest, we
have up until tomorrow at 8:30. We have had a wonderful display this year. It was a wonderful
wonderful wonderful display throughout the Village. Almost all of the judges have submitted
their scores. They have done a great job with that. We took some nice pictures. I drove around
and checked some things out. The residents went above and beyond this year to make Mayfield
Village a little more beautiful for the holiday season. Our hats go out to the residents, not only
the ones who participated but the ones who saw their neighbors participating and although they
didn't sign up, they still decorated and made the community a little more beautiful for the
holidays.
Lastly, we had a wonderful Menorah lighting last night. We had about 50+ people show up, kids
and older adults, younger adults. It was a little cold but every year, the Menorah lighting tends
to be a little colder for one reason or another. The people are very complimentary and enjoy this
event very very much.
With that being said, everyone have a wonderful holiday season. I look forward to seeing
everyone in 2023.
Council President Schutt asked, any questions for Shane?
There were none.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mr. McAvinew.
OLD BUSINESS
Third Readine of Ordinance No. 2022-22, entitled, "An Ordinance amending Mayfield
Village Codified Ordinance Chapter 1105 Board of Appeals."
