147.04 POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Commission on Aging shall adopt its own rules and regulations to govern its activities. In <br />addition, the Commission shall elect one of its voting members as Chair. <br />The Commission shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Administration and Council on all <br />matters relating to aging and to recommend programs for the aging citizens of the Municipality <br />and the means of implementing such programs. The Commission may consider and make <br />recommendations in the following areas of concern relating to the problems of aging, without <br />limitation: <br />(a) Senior Information and Education <br />(b) Assistance and Services Available to Seniors <br />(c) Health, Wellness and Nutrition <br />(d) Recreational Programs, Special Events and Activities <br />(e) Transportation Assistance <br />147.05 MEETINGS. <br />The Commission on Aging shall select meeting dates which are agreeable to a majority of the <br />members of the Commission. The Commission shall meet no less than six times per year with <br />additional meetings as required. A quorum of three voting members shall be present to <br />conduct the business of any meeting. A majority of the voting members appointed to the <br />Commission shall be necessary in order to carry the vote on any issue before the Commission. <br />(Ord. 84-20. Passed 5-21-84.) <br />
