J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022-06 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO A CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT COMMUNITY PARK, RECREATION/CONSERVATION PROJECT <br />PASS THROUGH GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Senate Bill No. 310, the 133rd General Assembly of the State of <br />Ohio has appropriated funds in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to <br />make a grant known as the Capital Improvement Community Park, Recreation/Conservation <br />Project Pass Through Grant to Mayfield Village for the costs associated with the construction of a <br />park and recreation or conservation facility in appropriation item C725E2, more fully described as <br />`Mayfield Village Civic Center Upgrades', (the "Project"). Furthermore, $2,000.00 of the total <br />Project appropriations will be used by the ODNR for the administration of the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village desires to use the Capital Improvement Community Park, <br />Recreation/Conservation Project Pass Through Grant for assistance in constructing the Project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and <br />welfare of all Village residents to authorize acceptance of the Capital Improvement Community <br />Park, Recreation/Conservation Project Pass Through Grant and to enter into the Capital <br />Improvement Community Park, Recreation/Conservation Project Pass Through Grant Agreement <br />with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Council authorizes and directs the Mayor and President of Council to enter <br />into the Capital Improvement Community Park, Recreation/Conservation Project Pass Through <br />Grant Agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2. Council does hereby agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily <br />complete the Project and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms of the Capital <br />Improvement Community Park, Recreation/Conservation Project Pass Through Grant Agreement. <br />SECTION 3. Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />
