A RESOLUTION NO. 2022-16 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MONTROSE AUTO GROUP FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2022 FORD EXPLORERS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $57,654.00 THROUGH THE STATE OF OHIO'S DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES (DAS) COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a continuing duty to the public to provide efficient and effective services to its residents; and WHEREAS, the Village wishes to utilize the vehicles currently being driven by the Building Commissioner and Service Director to replace vehicles in the Recreation and Service Department that have reached the end of their useful life and are ready to be cycled out of service; and WHEREAS, the two (2) Ford Explorers being purchased will replace the vehicles currently being driven by the Building Commissioner and Service Director that will be replacing vehicles in the Recreation and Service Department that have reached the end of their useful life; and WHEREAS, the Village wishes to utilize the State of Ohio's Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Cooperative Purchasing Program, which does not require competitive bidding pursuant to State law to purchase the two (2) Ford Explorers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an expenditure in the total amount of $57,654.00 to Montrose Auto Group for the purchase of two (2) Ford Explorers for the Building Commissioner and Service Director. SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into a contract with Montrose Auto Group in the total amount of $57,654.00 for the purchase of two (2) vehicles. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
