14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022-26 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />TO EXPEND FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $145,000.00 <br />TO WICHERT INSURANCE FOR 2022 PROPERTY & LIABILITY <br />INSURANCE RENEWAL <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, <br />safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to renew the Village's property and liability <br />insurance coverage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has such insurance coverage provided by Wichert <br />Insurance; and <br />WHEREAS, the current insurance policy will expire on June 30, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance for the Village of Mayfield has reviewed the insurance <br />CW renewal policy and recommended that the Village Council approve and accept the property and <br />liability insurance renewal from Wichert Insurance. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an expenditure <br />not to exceed $145,000.00 to Wichert Insurance for the property and liability insurance renewal policy <br />for the period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of <br />Council to enter into a contract with Wichert Insurance for the insurance coverage renewal policy for <br />the period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings <br />open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
