Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, February 20, 2023
pg. 5
Open Portion — For Public Comment (5-minute limit)
Council President Schutt stated, if anyone wishes to speak, please come up to the podium and state
your name and address for the record.
There were no comments.
Department Head Reports:
Diane Wolgamuth (Administration) — Thank you Council President. Reporting for Citizen's
Advisory, they will be meeting next Monday, February 27" in the Conference Room because
there's another event going on in this room. The highlight of the agenda is Attorney Katie Weber
from the Law Department is going to come speak to the group about the changes being proposed
to Chapter 505 which is Animals and Fowls. It's a conversation that Citizen's Advisory has had
in the past about dogs. The Mayor has had some complaints from residents also. That Chapter is
being revised. They are going to review it first and then it will be coming to Council probably in
March. The only other update I have is on the Community Room. The painting is done. The
carpeting has been installed. We are waiting on the cabinets. It looks like by the end of March it
should be done. That's all I have.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Ms. Wolgamuth.
Daniel Russell (Building) — Thank you Council President. I will be reporting on the past ARB
and P/Z meetings. At the January 26t" ARB meeting, we received one proposal for a new single-
family house on Worton Park. That was approved. The second meeting was P/Z on February 6tn
We received a proposal to approve the site plan for the Yours Truly Restaurant addition. That was
recommended to Council for approval. The third meeting was on February 161" for P/Z. That was
a workshop. We received one proposal for a conditional use permit for a new business at 700 Beta.
It will be voted on on March 61" at their regular meeting. That's all I have.
Council President Schutt asked, any questions for Mr. Russell?
There were none.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mr. Russell.
Chief Carcioppolo (Fire) — Thank you Council President. I just wanted to update you all on the
sprinkler work for the buildings. We are still waiting for some other quotes to come back. The
ones I have have been all over the place. It didn't make a lot of sense. I am waiting to get quotes
back and I should have that for you at the next meeting. S.A. Communale had a new person who
took over their accounts and didn't realize that all these buildings can be done on the same day.
They are also revising their quote. I will give you more information once we get it. That's it.
