r V RESOLUTION 2023-57 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF ZENITH SYSTEMS, LLC IN THE AMOUNT OF $148,281.00 AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR FOOD TRUCK PARKING LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT AT THE GROVE AMPHITHEATRE WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to continue to improve the site and lighting at The Grove Amphitheatre to make it safer and more easily accessible to patrons; and WHEREAS, request for bids for the installation of sight electrical and light poles and other miscellaneous items were advertised twice in a newspaper of general circulation and for three weeks on the Mayfield Village website; and WHEREAS, despite the fact that six (6) companies were plan holders, only one (1) bid was received for the aforementioned improvements as per published notice on September 15, 2023; and WHEREAS, the bid of Zenith Systems, LLC in the amount of $148,281.00 was the lowest and best bid received; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer, who prepared the design and bid specifications for this project, has reviewed the bids and recommends that Council accept the bid of Zenith Systems, LLC in the amount of $148,281.00. A copy of his written recommendation and the bid tabulation is attached; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of Zenith Systems, LLC in the amount of $148,281.00. SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into a contract with Zenith Systems, LLC for the food truck parking lighting improvement at The Grove Amphitheatre in accordance with the specifications contained in the bid documents.
