Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, October 16, 2023 Page 9 Up next for the Parks Department, we have the Holiday Decorating Contest which will happen in early December. Last year we had 50+ houses signed up. Hopefully we will get a few more this year. On the 2nd of December, is the Santa and Christmas Tree Lighting. On the 71n of December is the Menorah. Reporting on our senior program, we had a wonderful self-defense program led by retired Chief Edelman. He surprised me. He was one of the instructors that day. We had 15 older adults who came out. We have one more for November this year. There are already 15 people signed up for it. We have our Veteran's Day Ceremony on November loth at the Community Room. An e-mail will go out about that. The Village residents' party will be on the 81n. It's for the older adults in Mayfield Village. We always invite Council. Also, we have the holiday brunch with Frank and Dean for residents and non-residents. Lastly, I will not see you at the next meeting. I will be having knee surgery. You will get a memo on the 2"d of November. I will hopefully be returning on the 201n for the Council meeting. I will be returning a -mails and phone calls if needed. The memo will come out in two weeks with more detail. But, I will be back on the 20tn. Are there any questions? Thank you. Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mr. McAvinew.
