Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, November 20, 2023
Page 3
was for a solar array being installed on the front of a house on Highland Road. That was approved.
Also on the agenda were applications for two new homes in the Montebello Subdivision which
were approved. ARB also met on November 91h and reviewed a proposal for an in -ground pool on
Worton Park Drive. That was approved. Planning and Zoning met on November 10h and reviewed
a request for a conditional use permit for a business called OnTarget ABA. The P/Z vote on the
conditional use permit will be held on December 4'h. Because we are anticipating having a Special
Meeting of Council that evening, approving P/Z's recommendation will be on the Special Meeting
agenda as well. That's all I have.
Council President Schutt asked, any questions?
There were none.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Ms. Wolgamuth.
Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation) — Thank you Council President. I only have one thing
to talk about. The Santa Float is on December 2nd from 9:00-3:00 roughly. We'll have a handful
of people on the float. We do our best to try and stay on time. Sometimes, there's less kids at the
beginning and we get done a little quicker or vice versa. We are reminding the residents that
sometimes just be ready within an hour window. We do our best to come back multiple times.
Last year, we went to the same neighborhood 3-4 different times. We do our best to try to update
this on Facebook. Every year we have the same concerns that we are either early or we are late.
We have a wonderful new Santa this year. You will recognize him when he comes around. We
also have the Tree Lighting that evening. Does anyone have any questions?
There were none.
Mr. McAvinew stated, it is nice to be back. Thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, good to have you back. Thank you, Mr. McAvinew.
Committee Reports
Volunteer Firefighters' Dependent's Fund Board
Designation of 2 members of the legislative authority
Mrs. Betsa stated, yes, Council President, as reported at Caucus by Chief Carcioppolo, this Board
is required to meet once a year in order to qualify for grants or widow benefits for part-timers. The
firefighters placed their votes for two representatives from the Fire Department. Chief
Carcioppolo and Mr. Girbino will serve. We are in need of two members of Council. Council and
Fire Department will meet and a resident will be selected to serve on the Board. Al Meyers has
offered to serve on behalf of Council. I just need one more representative.
Mrs. Jurcisek stated, I can do it.
Mrs. Betsa stated, okay. Then I will let you know when the meeting is.
