RESOLUTION 2024-26 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION APPROVING THE <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY 911 PLAN <br />AS ADOPTED BY THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />9-1-1 PROGRAM REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield, Ohio is located within the County of Cuyahoga and <br />is therefore part of Cuyahoga County's 9-1-1 service network; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to ORC 128.06(D) each committee shall maintain and amend a final <br />plan for implementing and operating a countywide 9-1-1 system with specific provisions included <br />therein; and <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County has provided a copy of the 9-1-1 Plan dated March 6, 2024 <br />to Mayfield Village, Ohio in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, Section 128.07; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to ORC 128.08(A) within sixty days after receipt of the final plan, <br />the legislative authority of each municipal corporation in the county and of each township whose <br />territory is proposed to be included in a countywide 9-1-1 system shall act by resolution to approve <br />or disapprove the plan; and <br />WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Administration for Council to approve the <br />Cuyahoga County 911 Plan and encourage the County and the Program Review Committee to <br />continue to fund the system resources utilized by the Village Public Safety Answering Point <br />("PSAP") . <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council hereby approves the Cuyahoga County 911 Plan as adopted by <br />the Cuyahoga County 9-1-1 Program Review Committee, and encourage the County and the <br />Program Review Committee to continue to fund the system resources utilized by the Village Public <br />Safety Answering Point ("PSAP"), such Cuyahoga County 911 Plan is attached hereto and <br />expressly made a part hereof as if by reference, and marked Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council, and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. The Council declares this Resolution to be an emergency measure necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, the reason for the <br />emergency is the need to be in compliance with ORC 128.08(A), therefore, said Resolution shall <br />
