RESOLUTION NO. 2024-30 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF <br />AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />C.A. AGRESTA CONSTRUCTION CO. IN THE AMOUNT OF $637,014.00 <br />FOR THE RIDGEBURY BLVD. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to repair a portion of Ridgebury <br />Boulevard in Mayfield Village; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 19, 2022, Mayfield Village Mayor and President of Council <br />entered into an Agreement with Cuyahoga County whereupon the County would contribute fifty <br />percent (50%) of the actual cost of construction and construction engineering up to a maximum of <br />$247,500.00 (Resolution 2022-46); and <br />WHEREAS, the bids for the Ridgebury Blvd. Improvement Project were received, opened <br />and tabulated as per published notice on May 10, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of C.A. Agresta Construction Co. in the amount of $637,014.00 was <br />the lowest and best bid received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer, who prepared the design and bid specifications for this <br />project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that Council approve and accept the <br />aforementioned bid for the Ridgebury Blvd. Improvement Project. A copy of his written <br />recommendation and the bid tabulation is attached hereto and incorporated as Exhibit "A". <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of <br />C.A. Agresta Construction Co. in the amount of $637,014.00. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with C.A. Agresta Construction Co. in accordance with <br />the specifications contained in the bid documents. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />
