ORDINANCE NO. 2024-19 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO <br />REAL ESTATE LISTING AGREEMENTS WITH REALTOR PATTY GAETA AND <br />KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY GREATER METROPOLITAN FOR THE <br />MARKETING AND SALE OF CERTAIN VILLAGE OWNED PROPERTY AT <br />6522 AND 6536 WILSON MILLS ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the real estate located at 6522 and 6536 Wilson Mills Road is no longer <br />needed for any municipal purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village desires to list and market the real property owned by the Village <br />for sale; and <br />WHEREAS, Village Council deems it in the best interest of the Village and its residents <br />to authorize the Mayor and President of Council to enter into an agreement with realtor Patty Gaeta <br />and Keller Williams Realty Greater Metropolitan for such purposes and to authorize an <br />expenditure in an amount equal to and customary for the realtor's commission and closing costs <br />for the sale of the real estate located at 6522 and 6536 Wilson Mills Road. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized to enter into a <br />real estate listing agreement with realtor Patty Gaeta and Keller Williams Realty Greater <br />Metropolitan to market and list the Village owned properties at 6522 and 6536 Wilson Mills <br />Road and to authorize an expenditure in an amount that is equal to and customary for a realtor's <br />commission and related closing costs in connection with the sale of the subject properties. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meeting open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />for the reason that the properties are no longer necessary for any municipal purpose and time is of <br />the essence. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />
