Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, May 20, 2024 <br />Page 18 <br />First ReadiniE of Resolution No. 2024-32, entitled, "An emergency resolution recognizing <br />the retirement of Officer Kathryn Troyer after 26 years of dedicated service in the Mayfield <br />Village Police Department." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Administration) (Requires <br />suspension of the rules tonight and upon passage this legislation will take effect <br />immediately upon signature of the Mayor.) <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to suspend Resolution No. 2024-32. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Suspended <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2024-32. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />Mr. Arndt stated, thank you for your service. <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carries <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Schutt stated, Resolution 2024-32 passes. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, thank you Council President. I am going to take the podium for reading <br />these Resolutions. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, tonight we are celebrating the retirement of two very special people, <br />Sergeant Troyer and Ron Wynne. While we send you both off to retirement, we send our deepest <br />gratitude and our heartfelt wishes for a happy and healthy and long retirement. This evening's a <br />little bit bittersweet. You both will be greatly missed. <br />So, Sergeant Troyer, would you come up to the podium please? Bring your family too. <br />Sergeant Troyer stated, my family is my guys. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, the Mayfield Village Police Department is a source of great pride to this <br />community. Sergeant Troyer, you have made our police force and our community a great place for <br />us. It's no wonder that so many of your colleagues are here to support you this evening. Tonight <br />we celebrate your success and commend your many contributions. We hope you will keep in touch <br />with all of us. As Council has unanimously passed a Resolution recognizing your retirement after <br />26 years of dedicated service to Mayfield Village, I would now like to read that Resolution into <br />the record. <br />
