Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, May 20, 2024 <br />Page 7 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2024-06 (As Amended), entitled, "An ordinance <br />amending Codified Ordinance Section 1175.00 relating to definitions applicable to the Beta <br />Core Commercial District to define professional offices." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar <br />(Building Department) (First Reading — March 18, 2024; Second Reading — April 15, <br />2024) (Upon Third Reading and passage, this legislation will take effect 30 days <br />thereafter.) <br />Mrs. Jurcisek, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2024-06 (As <br />Amended). <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted <br />Council President Schutt stated, Ordinance 2024-06 passes. <br />• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2024-09, entitled, "An emergency ordinance amending <br />Chapter 771 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio to add a Section 771.02, <br />addressing the recent passage of State Issue 2, to prohibit the cultivation, processing, and <br />retail dispensing of adult use cannabis within the Village pursuant to the authority set forth <br />in Ohio Revised Code 3780.25." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Administration) (First <br />Reading — March 18, 2024; Second Reading — April 15, 2024) (Upon Third Reading and <br />passage, this legislation will take effect immediately upon signature of the Mayor.) <br />Mrs. Jurcisek, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2024-09. <br />Council President Schutt asked, discussion? <br />Mrs. Jurcisek stated, I just wanted to thank Mr. Marquart for the memo that you had done and all <br />of the research you did to answer some of the questions we had at the last Council meeting with a <br />map of all the Wards and the potential locations it could be. Thank you for all that. <br />Council President Schutt stated, agreed. Thank you for all that information. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, is this the time where you could table this? <br />Ms. Calta replied, it is the time you can table this. My recommendation if you are going to table <br />this, you table it to a date certain.
