Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, August 19, 2024 Page 7 There were none. Council President Schutt stated, thank you Chief. Frank Stupczy (Service) — I would just like to take an opportunity to mention like we have many times the storm and how we cleaned up and where we are going with it to give you all information. I spoke to all of you on the phone or in person throughout the two weeks. I wanted to give you a little update. Our crews got called in immediately after the storm that evening. How we attack it is our job is to open roadways immediately. We are not trying to clean up. We are trying to open roadways for police and fire so they can get in and out where they need to go. That's what we did. Our main clean up began the following day. We divided the Village into two sections. We divided that into two halves and went house to house and started picking up piles of branches, trees, whatever was out on the front lawns. We made it through the Village three or four times. We are getting a little bit back to our normal August stuff. Just to give you a scope of the amount of clean up we have done, our brush pile is chipped and emptied every October or thereabouts to make room for our leaf season. For nine months we have been going through the Village and collecting brush on a weekly basis. This time every year, it's a very large pile of brush. In the two weeks we have been picking up the brush from just this storm, we have tripled if not quadrupled the size of our 9 month brush pile. It's just been an enormous effort. For those guys sitting here today, I couldn't be prouder than to be working with them and be on the team I am on. So, I just wanted to make sure everyone understands what we have done. It is pretty incredible I think. We are going to continue to make rounds until the storm damage has been cleared. We still get calls. You still might be getting calls. We are coming around. We are going to make those rounds. We are going to pick up the brush, I promise. We are going to keep coming. We have also put out crews in our bucket truck to mitigate hazards that are hanging in the trees and power lines. If you get calls for a broken branch or something hanging, we are picking those up tree by tree as we go forward so you can expect that. Council President Schutt stated, thank you. Any questions?
