RESOLUTION NO.2025-34 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO <br />ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF PANZICA CONSTRUCTION AND ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH PANZICA CONSTRUCTION FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />REPLACEMENT OF THREE EXTERIOR DOORS AND THE REPAIR OF THE <br />SURROUNDING SANDSTONE IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,800.00 PLUS A TEN <br />PERCENT CONTINGENCY FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $44,880.00 <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to replace these three exterior doors and the surrounding <br />sandstone at the Fire Department to preserve the integrity of these Village assets (hereinafter the <br />"Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, three proposals for the exterior painting and repairs were received and Panzica <br />Construction's proposal in the amount of Forty Thousand Eight Hundred and 00/100 dollars <br />($40,800.00) was the lowest and best received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has reviewed all proposals received and recommend that <br />Panzica Construction be awarded the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief also recommends that a ten percent (10%) contingency in an <br />amount not to exceed Four Thousand Eighty and 00/100 dollars ($4,080.00) be approved to cover <br />any unforeseen conditions or changes requested by Mayfield Village. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal <br />of Panzica Construction, including the contingency, in an amount not to exceed $44,880.00 and <br />the Project is hereby awarded to Panzica Construction. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into a contract with Panzica Construction for the Project. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, for the reason that the exterior door replacement and sandstone repair work must be <br />
