RESOLUTION NO.2025-36 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL <br />OF CLASSIC FORD FOR ENGINE REPLACEMENT ON A FORD SUPER DUTY <br />F-45 TRUCK IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $16,000.00 <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to replace the engine in its 2015 Ford Super Duty F-45 Truck; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a proposal for this engine replacement was received from Classic Ford in the <br />amount of Fourteen Thousand Twenty -Five and 81/100 dollars ($14,025.81); and <br />WHEREAS, no additional proposals were sought or received as there are limited repair <br />shops in the local area able to timely perform the engine replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Service Director recommends that the proposal of Classic Ford be <br />accepted and they be awarded the engine replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Service Director requests that Council approve additional funds for any <br />unforeseen conditions or additional repairs and requests a total approved amount not to exceed <br />Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($16,000.00). <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal <br />of Classic Ford in the amount of $14,025.81 plus an additional amount for unforeseen conditions <br />or additional repairs in a total amount not to exceed $16,000.00. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into a contract with Classic Ford for the engine replacement. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />
