Th.a.t a sidewalk shall be constructed on the <br />Westerly side of S.O.Ivt. Center Road fram Wilson Mills Road to the North Pro- <br />pertJ Zine of the Board of Education, of the character and in the following <br />marule r s <br />The sideivalk shall be of stone flagging. Said <br />stone flagging shall be sawed fram sound, hard and durable <br />gray sandstone, Berea, Amherst, or equalo It shall be <br />free fram all checks, seans, and/or other flaws, and be in <br />quality and dressing acceptable to the Engineer, and in all <br />respects equa,l to the sample subma.tted with bid. <br />Stone shall not be less than ttivo and one-half (2 1/2) <br />inches in thicknees for walks, and not less than four (4) <br />inches in thiclmess for driveivays. It shall not be less <br />than three (3) feet in length, and not less in width than <br />the f"u11 width of the walk for walks eight (B) feet in width, <br />and not less than fou r(4) feet in width for walks more thAn <br />eight (S) feet in width, <br />The face of the flaggint; shall be smooth, and in evex.y <br />direction true to a stx°aight edge. Sides shall be straight <br />and dressed so that joints in the wa]k will be closed for the <br />upper one and one-half (1 1/2) 3.nch, and not more than one <br />(1) inch open at the bottom, and in accordanee with the plans <br />and specifications now on file in the office of the Clerk of <br />said gillage. <br />SECTION 2. `I'hat the Clerk of the Cou.ncil be and he is here- <br />bg directed to cause a written notice of the passage of this resolution to <br />be served as required by laiv. <br />SECTION 3. That for the purpose of serving said notices, <br />A.L. Bishop, J'r., is hereby autizorized and empo??ered as an Assistant to said <br />Clerk to serve copies`of said notice as reguired herein and the rate of com- <br />pensation shall be not more than One Dollar ($1.00) per.notice. <br />SECTION 4.
