ORDINANCE N0. 84-21 (AS AMENDED) INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 133.03 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAIN- ING TO AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES ON CHECKS AND WITHDRAWAL SLIPS ON BANK ACCOUNTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY. WHEREAS, existing Section 133.03 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, requires that all checks and withdrawal slips on bank accounts of the municipality be signed by the Finance Director and either the Mayor or the President of Council; and WHEREAS, because neither the Mayor, Finance Director, nor the President of Council constitute full-time employment positions with the municipality there often exists an inability to draft checks because of the absence of one or more persons necessary to sign checks; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the municipality to provide a more expeditious manner in drafting checks; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Section 133.03 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material appears like ti~~9- and new material appears like THIS) " 133.03 AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES. All checks and withdrawal slips on bank accounts of the municipality shall be signed by EITHER the Finance Director OR THE ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR, and either the Mayor or the President of Council, OR, IF BOTH THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL ARE UNAVAILABLE, THEN EITHER THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT OR THE SECRETARY TO THE MAYOR, PROVIDED THAT THE MAYOR HAS DESIGNATED, IN WRITING, ONE OF THE AFOREMENTIONED TO SIGN ON HIS BEHALF. Section 2. Existing Section 133.03 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that
