ORDINANCE N0. 83-15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Beebe & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING TO EACH <br />FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE A SUPPLENIENTAL CHECK 0?+? <br />TWO AND ONE-HALF PERCENT (2.5%) <br />OF THE BASE PAY FOR EACH SUCH <br />FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE AS ESTABLISHED <br />IN ORDINANCE N0. 82-5, AUTHORIZING <br />THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO 1NCLUDE <br />SUCH CHECK WITH THE SECOND REGULAR <br />PAYROLL DISTRIBUTION IN JULY, 1983, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have <br />determined that it is not economically feasible at present to provide <br />the employees of the municipality a raise in pay; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that <br />the employees have continued to work diligently on behalf of the <br />Village despite the lack of increase in compensation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that <br />the full-time employees should be provided some additional compensation <br />at this time in order to establish the good faith intentions of the <br />Mayor and Council and additionally to recognize the patience and <br />continued best efforts of the full-time employees during these difficult <br />times; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. Ea.ch full-time employee of Mayfield Village <br />shall be paid a supplemental check consisting of two and one-half <br />percent (2.5%) of the base pay for each such full-time employee as <br />established in Ordinance No. 82-5. <br />Section 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to include the payment provided in Section 1 hereinabove <br />to each full-time employee with the second payroll distribution of <br />July, 1983. <br />Section 3. That the Council f'inds and determines that all <br />f'ormal actions of this Council relating to the acioption of this <br />Ord.inance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
