RESOLUTION N0. 82-56 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Robert G. Beebe <br />A RESOLUTION AUTI30RIZING A?QD DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CITY OF SOUTH EUCLID FOR USE OF <br />ITS PISTOL RANGE BY THE POLTCE DEPARTMENT <br />OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, AND DECLARING <br />AP1 EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Euclid, Ohio, has enacted Ordinance <br />No. 36-1981 providing that rental rates for use of its pistol <br />range shall be established by the Mayor of the City at an hourly <br />rate to be computed by the Finance Department of the City, which <br />rate shall be based upon the cost of labor, utilities expended <br />and supplies furnished by the City of South Euclid; and <br />WHEREAS, the current rate for use of the said pistol range, <br />as computed by the Finance Department for the City of South Euclid, <br />is Twenty Seven Dollars and Thirty Five Cents ($27.35) per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Euclid has forwarded to this <br />municipality a proposed Agreement under which Mayfield Village <br />agrees to pay the current rerital rate for use of the pistol range <br />in the City of South Euclid; and <br />WHEREAS, the use of said pistol range by the police officers <br />of Mayfield Village is necessary in order to maintain effective law <br />enforcement; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. The Council hereby authorizes and directs the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the City of South Euclid for <br />use of its pistol range, a copy of said contract being attached <br />hereto and marked Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, <br />in compliance witfi all statutory requirements, including the require- <br />ments of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. <br />This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village <br />for the reason that the use of said pistol range by the police officers
