ORDTNANCE N0. $2-69 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TriE COMPLEMENT <br />GF PART-TIME POLICE OFFICERS AT SIX (6) <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of May€ield Village are desirous <br />of establishing a complement of part-time police officers f or the <br />municipality; now, theref ore, <br />BE IT ORllAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. The Mayor and Council do hereby establish that the <br />complement of part-time police officers in Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />shall be six (6). <br />Section 2. All Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance in <br />whole or in part are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid <br />conflict with this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />forr.ial actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations <br />of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />toolc place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all <br />statutory requiremerits, including the'requiremerits of Section 121e22 <br />of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety <br />and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the'reason that <br />the complement established herein is necessary to maintain effective <br />law enforcement,? It sha11 therefore take'effect immediately upon passage <br />by the affirmative vote of not less than fiUe (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law.
