ORDINANCE N0. 82-70 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO TONY CALABRESE <br />CEMENT'CONTRACTORS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY <br />THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY NINE DOLLARS ($50,739.00) <br />FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF KENWOOD DRIVE AND <br />DECLARTNG AN EMERGENCY. ' <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIZ OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. In accordance with bids received pursuant to. <br />advertisement as required by law, Tony Calabrese Cement Contz-actors, <br />Inc. is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the <br />reconstruction of Kenwood Drive in.accordance with the plans and <br />specifications prepared by the Village Engineer. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby authorized, <br />empowered and directed to enter into a contract with Tony Calabrese <br />Cement Contractors, Inc. in an amount not to_ exceed Fifty Thousand <br />Seven Hundred Thirty.Nine Dollars ($50,739.00) for the reconstruction <br />of Kenwood Drive, all of which work shall be performed in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications prepared by the Village Engineer <br />and upon which the`bid was based. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Cciuncil relating to the'adoption of this <br />Ordinance have beeri taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requireinents, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby'declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village in <br />that the work authorized herein was to commence.immediately in order <br />to have it completed within the current builci.ing season.
