ORDINANCE NO. 81- 61 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE <br />EDWARD H. SUTTON INSURANCE CO. FOR <br />INSURANCE CONSULTING WORK IN AN AMOUNT <br />NOT TO EXCEED ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($1,500.00), AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the various policies of insurance coverage for <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, are scheduled to .expire in the near <br />future; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that in order <br />to provide the best coverage possible for the municipality it is <br />in the best interests of the municipality to retain the services <br />of an insurance consultant( now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorized, empowered and directed to enter into a contract with <br />the Edward H. Sutton Insurance Co. as an insurance consultant for <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, fob the purpose of aiding the municipality <br />in obtaining the best insurance coverage available. Said contract <br />shall be in an amount not ito exceed One Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($1,500.00) and shall be in a form approved by the Director <br />of Law. <br />Section 2. Council (finds and determines that all formal actions <br />of this Council relating t!o the adoption of this Ordinance have been <br />taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of <br />this Council and of its co~unittees, resulting in. such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements, including the requirements of Section 121.22 <br />of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, in that the contract authorized herein will provide the services <br />of the insurance consultant for the purchase of insurance coverage, <br />which insurance coverage must be purchased immediately. It shall <br />therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative <br />vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval <br />
