ORDINANCE NO. 81- 69 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Robez.t :G~: Beebe AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF A PROSECUTOR,. ESTABZISHING COMPENSATION THEREFOR AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATe Section 1. The Mayor°s appointment of Vincent A. Feudo, as Prosecutor for Mayfield Village is Hereby confirmed. Section 2. Effective January 1, 1981 the Prosecutor shall be compensated at the rate of Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars. ($525.00), per month. for all services rendered to the municipality in such capacity except as herein otherwise provided, While in attendance at all trials and pretrials in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court on criminal charges brought by Mayfield Village either under its own Codified Ordinances or, under the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, and including preliminary hearings in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court on felony charges arising out of Mayfield Village, the Prosecutor shall be compensated at tYie rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per hour, payable upon submission of reasonably detailed billings indicating the name of the case, the date and nature of the proceeding and the time spent. It is understood that such ser-Vices are rendered by the Prosecutor as an independent contractor and that he is not an employee of the municipality. Section 3. This contract shall be effective until December 31, 19.82 or until the appointment of a successor Prosecutor, whichever is later. Section 4. The Prosecutor sli.all be responsible directly to the Mayor and shall not be under the supervision or control of the Law Director. Section 5. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this Ordinance were adopted in an. open meeting of this Council; and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such: formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with 'all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code., Section 6e This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of th.e residents of Mayfield Village, in that it provides for necessary goVe,rnmental serUicesd It shall therefore take effect
