ORDINANCE NO. 81- 69 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Robez.t :G~: Beebe <br />AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF <br />A PROSECUTOR,. ESTABZISHING COMPENSATION <br />THEREFOR AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATe <br />Section 1. The Mayor°s appointment of Vincent A. Feudo, <br />as Prosecutor for Mayfield Village is Hereby confirmed. <br />Section 2. Effective January 1, 1981 the Prosecutor shall <br />be compensated at the rate of Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars. <br />($525.00), per month. for all services rendered to the municipality <br />in such capacity except as herein otherwise provided, While in <br />attendance at all trials and pretrials in the Lyndhurst Municipal <br />Court on criminal charges brought by Mayfield Village either under <br />its own Codified Ordinances or, under the Revised Code of the State <br />of Ohio, and including preliminary hearings in the Lyndhurst Municipal <br />Court on felony charges arising out of Mayfield Village, the Prosecutor <br />shall be compensated at tYie rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per hour, <br />payable upon submission of reasonably detailed billings indicating <br />the name of the case, the date and nature of the proceeding and the <br />time spent. It is understood that such ser-Vices are rendered by the <br />Prosecutor as an independent contractor and that he is not an employee <br />of the municipality. <br />Section 3. This contract shall be effective until December 31, <br />19.82 or until the appointment of a successor Prosecutor, whichever is <br />later. <br />Section 4. The Prosecutor sli.all be responsible directly to <br />the Mayor and shall not be under the supervision or control of the <br />Law Director. <br />Section 5. That it is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of <br />this Ordinance were adopted in an. open meeting of this Council; and <br />that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such: formal action, were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with 'all legal requirements including Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code., <br />Section 6e This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of th.e residents of Mayfield Village, in that it provides <br />for necessary goVe,rnmental serUicesd It shall therefore take effect <br />
