ORDINANCE No. 282 _ ~d By IVIl~® ZINGLE~SAId AN ORDINANCE 1'ROVIDIIdG FOR THE ENLPLOY1l r~I'~1T OF LEGAL COUNSEL rOR 1HE VILLAGE OF IVIAYF'IELD 1~VFIEREAS, the Council deems it for the best interest o:f the Village to provide legal counsel for the same and for the officers thereof. NOVT, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIATED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga Coun'Ly, State oa' Ohios Section 1. That .Arnold M. Edv7~nan, attorney at laze, be, and he is, hereby employed to. act as legal counsel for said Village and the officers thereof in their official capacity, and as such to prosecute or defend all actions, by or against said Village, or any department or officer thereof. Section 2. That he •s~hall prepare and submit to the Council all resolutions and ordinances of whatsoever character or nature necessary, for all public improvements and for the issuance of bonds and every purpose authorized by lativ, and that he shall prepare all other resolutions and -~ ordinances as suoh are requested by this Council or any department of ~~ this Village. Section 3, That ize shall bo appointed for a period of two (2) years ending~ec+ember.3lst, 1949, and shall receive .as..'compensation the sum of Six Hundred Dollars 0600.00) per mum, payable in equal monthly installments, which compensation shall cover all general services rendered the said Village as suoh legal counsel, with the exception of the following: (a) That such legal counsel shall be paid the additional stitm .. _ of Fifty dollars 050.00) per diem for time spent on behalf of the said Village or any department or officer thereof in any •trial or proceeding before az~y court (other than the Ntayor f s cou2't) or before any other public Board or Cor~nnission (other- than a Board or Co~nis sion of. said Vi1~.age ), and for 'time spent in preparation for any such trial or proceeding; ' (b) That such 1ega1 counsel shall be paid the additional sum ®f Seventy-Five Dollars 075.00) for legal services rendered in coonection.wi.th each note..issue and the sum of Seventy- . Five Dollars (va75.00) for legal services rendered in connection with each. bond issue of said Village, such services to include the preparation of the necessary legislation and the supervision of the preparation of transcripts of the proceedings in cozu~ection therewith.
