THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 10, PASSED i~PRIL 11, 1921, ENTITLED: <br />'AN ORDINANCE .CREATING T HC-OFFICE OF INSPECTOR OF BUIIDITdGS, <br />DEI'INING THE DUTIES AND POTHERS OF SUCH INSPECTOR, REGULATING " <br />THE CONSTRUCTIONd OF BUILDINGS ViiITHIN TIf~ VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD' <br />AND DECI~NG"'AN AHERGEYdCY", BY ADDING SECTION 209 (a) <br />THERETO, INTITLED: "PII~TALTY FOR OCCUPANCY OF RESIDENTIAL <br />BUILDINGS BEFORE COb~.'LETIOIJ IN CONFORMITY VdITH THIS ORDINANCE", <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. . <br />W ~ 'AS, the Council believes t:~et the. public health and safety <br />can better be safeguarded and the provisions of the Building Ordinance • <br />can be better enforced by providing a penalty for any .person occupying <br />residential property before the samo has been completed in accordance <br />with the provisions of said Building Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE I^1 ORDAINED by the Council of the Village <br />of Mayfielc].,. Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, as follows: <br />Section 1. That Ordinance No..86 be amended by adding thereto, <br />immediately following Sectioxi~ 209, the following: ' <br />"Section 209 (a.) - f~enalty for occupancy of residential <br />buildings before completion in conformity with this <br />ordinance ", <br />"Any person, whether owner, tenant or otherwise, who shall <br />-move into, occupy or resa.do in any single dwelling or <br />private residence, or any two-family dwelling or residence,' <br />or any tenement building in the Village of Mayfield which <br />does not contain complete sanitary, heating, and plumbing <br />facilities installed in accordance with the provisions <br />of this ordinance or which htxs:' not been completed in <br />accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and <br />in accordance with the terms of~a building permit duly <br />issued by the Inspector of Buildings, shall. for each and <br />every such violation or non-compliance be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined <br />not more than Five Hundred Dollars '0500.00); and each <br />day during which such violation sha11 continue shall <br />constitute a separate offense. <br />
