Zingloman <br />ATE ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTNIEiJT <br />OF SPECIAL POLICE~J FOR IIVIERGENCY PURPOSES <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TF~E VILLAGE OF Ts4AYFIELD, COUNTY <br />OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. In order to assist the PfTayor and Chief of <br />Police to enforce the 1avrs of the Village and preserve the peace in <br />times of emergency, the Council deems it necessary t'o create and there <br />as hereby created the position of Special Emergency Policeman. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor, by and wrath the consent of the .Council, <br />may appoint from tame .to time arty number of Special emergency Policemen, <br />each of whom. shall gave bond an the sum of X100.00, v~rith good and <br />sufficient surety, to be approved by the Mayor. <br />~~~ . Sec. 3. Special Fnnorgency Policemen shall serve only <br />when called upon by the Mayor or Chief of i'olice to assist in times <br />of'emergeney. The Mayor or Chief of Police, as the ease may be, shall <br />be the sole judge as to vrhether an emergency exists such as to necessitate <br />calling upon the services of a special emergency policeman an order to <br />protect the safety of the inhabitants of the Village of T~ayfield. <br />Sec® 4. Special Emergency Policemen may be removed at <br />any time by the TJfayor. HrnFaever, of this section shall ever be declared <br />invalid by any court, then it as the intention of the Council an <br />eziactang this ordinance that all other sections of the ordinance shall <br />remain in fu11 force and effect. <br />Sec. 5. Each Special Emergency Policeman shall be paid out <br />of the Village Treasury the sum of ~~1.00 for each hour or any fraction <br />thereof during which he serves as such, on the call of the Mayor or <br />Chief of Police. <br /> <br />
