ORDINANCE No. 302 <br />By Mr. Zingleman <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 231, <br />AS AI~IJDED BY ORDIN.A1tTCE N0. 292, BY <br />INCREASING RATES OF PAY OF VOLUNTEER <br />FIR ~' N. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO=. <br />Sec$ioiz 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 231, entitled 10An <br />Ordinance Establishing and Creating a Volunteer Fire Department for the <br />Village of Hayfield", as amended by Ordinance N_o. 292, be amended to <br />read as follo~rs : - _ <br />" Sec. 3. The Fir® Department is authorised to act and to <br />use the firs apparatus of the Village in times of emergency t® <br />safeguard life,~limb, property and the public safety and health. <br />The 8hief of the Village Fire Department shall be paid the sum of <br />Five Dollars 05.00) and each other member of the Village Fire <br />', Department shall be,paid the sun of Three Dollars 0$3.00) for each <br />fire call, and for eaoh emergency call of the kind,hereinabove <br />described to which he responds in his capacity as fireman. A <br />fire call or emiergency call shall be deemed to begin when the <br />fire equipment leaves its regular station anal to end when it <br />has returned to its regular station.°t <br />Sects®n 2. That S®ction 3 hitherto appearing in said Ordinances <br />Nos. 231 and 292 are hereby repealed. <br />Seetiorn 3a This ordinance is deemed to b® an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the <br />Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants; in order to bring rates of pay <br />in line wa.th those paid in neighboring villages, and this ordinance shall <br />g® into immediate effect upon its passage. <br />Passed this 3rd day of Novembers 1948. <br /> <br />J <br />Attests ~ Ha~ ~- President of Council <br />,i/ <br />S G Clerk <br />
