ORDINANCE No. I~2~ <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDSAlAl1TCE FTXTNG THE RATE OF COMPENSATION <br />FOR ROAD LABOR AND REPEALING ORDINANCE #219 <br />BE IT ORDAIAIED BY THE COTJIdC1Z OF TNT VILLAGE OF 1l~AYF17;LD, COUNTY OF <br />CO~YA.HOGA AI~TD STATE. OF OHIO THAT: <br />Sec. 1® From and after the date of the passage of this Ordinance, <br />the Village o~ Mayfield shall pay the sum of X1,25 per hour for labor <br />performed by arty person other than the road foreman in connection with <br />the maintenance and upkeep of its roads, streets and highways. The <br />rate of compensation mazy be changed by council at any time by ordinance, <br />resolution or motion. <br />Sec. 2. Existing ordinance No. 2l~9 entitled: ~~An Ordinance to <br />provide for the rate of compensation to be paid by the Village for <br />labor, teaming and trucking « is hereby repealed from and after the <br />date of this ordinance. <br />Sec® 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of .the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield in order that <br />the Village may be able to procure the common labor necessary to keep <br />its roads, streets a.nd highways in good condition and shall be in force <br />and go into effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of January, 1953.. <br />-~` ~~ <br />,r / ll~ayor ---~ esi en of Counc' <br />Attest: ~ <br />SEAT, Cl k <br />
