Sec.: •lo °That the assessment of the cost and ex~oense of improving <br />S.O.M. Center Road from the center line of Nilson Mills Road in Mayfield <br />Village in a northerly direction to the north line of the Board of Education <br />property on S.O.M. Center Road by the construction of a water main and <br />appurtenances therein, amounting in the aggregate to X5,597®80, as reported <br />to this Council on the 7th day of June, 1953, by the Board heretofore <br />appointed to estimate said assessments, notice of the filing of which <br />assessments has been given as required by law, be and the same is hereby <br />adopted and confirmed, and that there be and there is hereby levied and <br />assessed upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said improvement <br />the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments together with <br />the descriptions of .said lots and lands are now on file in the office of the Clerk <br />of this Council, and which assessments are in proportion to the special benefits <br />and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property, and are not <br />in excess of arty statutor'~r limitation. <br />Sec. 2. That the total assessment against each lot or parcel of <br />land shalT~e-payable in cash within thia°ty (~0) days from and after the <br />passage of this ordinance, or at the option of the ov~mer, .~iri ten (10) annual <br />installmer_ts with interest at the same rate as shall be borne on the bonds <br />to be issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments <br />shall be made to the treasurer of Mayfield Village. All assessments and <br />installments thereof rPma;n;ng unpaid at the expiration-of said thirty (30) <br />days shall be certified by the Clerk of the Council to the County Aud.itor,_ <br />as provided by law, to be by him placed on the tax duplicate and collected <br />as other taxes are collected. <br />Sec. 3e That this ordinance being an emergency measure for the <br />immecliate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants <br />of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, and shall take effect immediately upon its <br />passage and approval as an emergency measure. <br />Passed June 15, 1953• <br />Attest: <br />_ c~~ <br />Seal. erk <br />Approved <br />_, <br />'~ r~r~r~~~~ <br />Mayor - resident of Council <br />
