ORDINANCE No. By fir .ASS AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUE OF N01^ES IN ANTICIPATION OF THE LEVY .OF SPECIAL ASSESSI~,~VTS AND IN ANTICIPATION OF THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS IDT ANTICIPATION OF THE COLLECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE ZIt~rPROVEMQ~IT OF SOM CENTER ROAD AAID WORTON PARK DRIVE AND TO REPEAL ORDINANCE N0. 1~.7. WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Mayfield has heretofore by legislation declared the necessity of improving SOM Center Road,f rom the .North end of the existing water main now in SOM Center Road and extending Northerly about 1801 feet, but to the South Lind of a 22 acre parcel of land now or formerly owned by Jessie H. Vdorts, being approximately 2257 feet North from~the center line of Wilson Mi11s Road by the construction of a 12" water main and appurtenances therein and of improving Worton Park Drive-from Wilson dills Road to the end.of the dedicated street which is 1315.60 feet from the South line of Wilson TvSill.s Road by the construction of an 8" water main and appurtenances therein; and WHEREAS, Council has hitherto passed Ordinance No. L~I~7 to provide for the issuance of a note and bonds in the amount of ~35s000.00 in anticipation of the collection of special assessments for the improvement of said streets by the installation of said water mains and appurtenances; and Wl~REAS, as the result of bids since submitted by contractors, it appears that it will not be necessary at this time to provide for issuance of a note or bonds in an amount in excess of X31,600.00. NO~~V THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF 1~1KY~JJJLD °e Sec. 1. That it is hereby declared necessary to issue bonds of the Vil.lag~Mayfield in the principal sum of X31'600.00, for the purpose of raising money in the amount of X18,600000 in anticipation of the collection of special assessments for payment. of the property owners' portion of the cost of improving SOM Center Road, from the North end of the existing water main now located in SOM Center Road and extending Northerly about 1801 feet, but to the South line of a 22 acre parcel of land now or formerly owned by Jessie H. Worts, being approximately 2257 feet North from the center line of Wilson Mills Road, by the installation of a water main and appurtenances therein, as provided in Resolution No. 217 adopted April 20, 1953, and for the purpose of raising money in the amount of X13,000.00 for the purpose of paying the entire cost of improving Worton Park Drive from Wilson Mills Road to the end of the dedicated street, which is 1315.60 feet from the South line of Wilson Mills Road by the construction of a rova.ter main and appurtenances therein, as provided for in Resolution No. 219 adopted on June 15th, 1953, and the Petition of Property Chimers filed prior theretoo
