ORDTIVANCE No. 198 , <br />AN ORDIiJkNCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A P-liRCEL'OF REAL <br />ESTATE ADJOINING TFiE VTTLAGE H,HLL <br />VVHEREA8, it is the sense of ths.s Council that it is necessa-ry to purchase ? <br />Iand adjacent to the ViTl.age Ha3l buiZding in or.der tQ provici.e for the expatzsion <br />of the municipal functions oi' the Vil.Iage of Mayfield, and , <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Ma.lek, the otianer of a parcel of land being approximately <br />132 feet in zvidth and 165 feet in depth I.ying directly north of the Uillage Hall <br />;oremises, has offered to sell said garcel to the Village of Mayfield for the <br />surn of $400.00, and <br />V'd1HER:EAS, said parcel is the onl,y parcel suitable ior such purpQSe available <br />to the ViL13.ge, <br />NOW, THE_IIFFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLILGE OF 114AYFTELD, <br />CUYAHOGX CQUVTY., OHIQ9 That: . <br />Section l. The ViZZage of MaffieZd proceed to purchase from Joseph MaZek <br />a certain parceZ of reaT estate I,ying north of the present VilIage HaI1 premises, <br />being approximateZy 132 feet in i-vidth and 165 feet in length f'or -the sum of <br />$400.00 with taxes and asses:ments prorated to the date of the transf'er of said <br />premises. <br />Section 2. The premises sha1l be purcha.sed upon the 1egal-opinion of <br />the Village Solicitors to be rendered based upon a Tit1e Guarantee prepared by <br />The Land Tit1e Guarzntee and Trust Compalay covering said premises and aecured at <br />the cost of the Village of Mayfield. .' <br />Section Z. The proper officers of the Village be and they hereby are <br />authorized and directed.to do a.ll things necessa:ry to consummate said purchase in <br />accordance with the terms ancl provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 4.
