YOUNG AN ORDINlLiNCE PROVTDING F0R THE DNIPL0YPI1ENT OI+ JAJ\I ENGIiVEER FOR TNE VILLAGE OF IULAYF'IT D, OHIO VVHTREAS, this Council is of the opinion that in the installation of public improvcments un lertaken in this Vil7_age the Engineer on said improveinents shoulcl be held res-Qonsible for said improvements b,y the preparation oi plans and specifications, tlle furnishing of estimates and the performance oi the necessary engineerinb during the progress of th.e work, and that the Engineer should be held responsible for the fait'_nful performance of a11 public improvements9 NOW, THEREFORE, BF TT ORDAINrD BY TIiE COtNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIr,LD, SThTE OF OHIO: Section l. That H. C. Gallimore, be, a:n.d he is hereby emp].oyed and apioo;nted as Engineer within and for the Village of Mayfield. Section 2. That he shall Prepare all necessary plans, profiles, soecifications aiad estimates of cost oj' every kind for all public improvements. Section 3. That he be held responsible to this CounciZ iox° the faithful executioiz of all -public wiork undertaken by -this Council9 pursua.nt to plans and specifications approved by 'uhis Council. Section 4. That all inspectors, aopointed by the Road Conmlittee of this Counci-l shall be uncler his direction and supervision and shall report to and receive their instructions froin i1im. Section 5. Tlzat he vzill fu-rnish to this Council nlans, speciiications and estimates of cost. of , all necessai-y i?m;Qrovements for the - guidance oi this Counci.l and for the in'Lormatzon and guidance of contractors. Section 6. Thzt, vhhen requested, he shall make and deliver to this Council monthly reports of -t1_ze nrogress of i;nprovements tmder his charge, sta-ti.?.g conditions or sarue toget'rier v;ith any other matters af interest desired by this Councilo All plans shall be the property oi the Village and vLhen so directed by 'U?ie Uouncil be filed in the Clerk's ofiice, unon completion of any street irn1orovement. Section 7, That his services shalZ be at the call of any Department of -th; s Village o-r oi any Official actiiag in his official capacity. Section 8. That fo-r such services in connection with construction of public improve;nents he shall receive four per cent (4 0) of the actual cost of construction of all improvements mac?e by tnis Council and under his control, saict sum to be paid at t11P, time the estimates, upon which such compensation is based, are oresented_ to this Council. Section 9. Compensation ecu?.1 to tvao per cent (2io) of the total estimated cost shall be paid for all plans, profiles and specifications upon Urork authorized aizd approved by this Council, sizou_tdthe proceedings for said vaork, for any cause, be discontinued and the improvements not' constructed. Section lOe The abovesch°dule of fees shall cover engineeriizg services including prelimin«ry estimates .a..d relqor-ts9 complete detailed plans and speciFications and detailed estiiilates o_f cost; gene-ral supervision oj' construction.,
